About Hazuri Bagh

Hazuri Bagh is the formal quadrangle garden that sits between Lahore Fort’s Alamgiri Gate and Badshahi Mosque, with the Roshnai Gate and Iqbal’s tomb nearby. At its centre stands the marble Hazuri Bagh Baradari, a pavilion built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 1818.

It’s the green ceremonial heart of the monument complex — the place to pause and take in Fort and mosque together.

Highlights

  • Baradari pavilion — Ranjit Singh’s marble pavilion at the garden’s centre.
  • Framed views — Fort on one side, mosque on the other.
  • Roshnai Gate — The historic gate opening off the garden.
  • Iqbal’s Tomb — The poet-philosopher’s tomb sits at its edge.
