Overview

Cholistan is Pakistan’s great desert, stretching from Bahawalpur into the Thar, a landscape of rolling dunes, camel herders and one extraordinary fort, Derawar, whose 40 bastions rise straight out of the sand. Every year in winter it’s also home to the famous Cholistan Jeep Rally, a cross-country race across the dunes near Derawar.

This 3-day trip combines the drive down through Bahawalpur, with its ornate Noor Mahal and Sadiq Garh palaces, with a genuine 4×4 dune safari and Derawar Fort, for travelers who want adventure alongside heritage. Priced on request depending on season, jeep requirements and whether your dates coincide with the rally itself.
