  • Long driving days over mountain roads, this is a journey for travelers who enjoy the road as much as the destinations.

  • The Skardu extension can be trimmed if you’d prefer a shorter Hunza-focused version, ask us to tailor it.

Before you go

What to bring

  • Comfortable walking shoes for uneven ground
  • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen) or warm layers for cold desert/winter nights
  • A refillable water bottle

  • Some cash for snacks, tips and small purchases

Dress & etiquette

Modest dress (shoulders and knees covered) is best; women need a headscarf inside mosque and gurdwara prayer halls (our guides carry spares) and shoes come off at religious sites. Please ask before photographing people. See what to wear and mosque etiquette.

FAQs

Is 13 days enough to see the whole north?
It covers the essentials, Kaghan, Hunza, Khunjerab and Skardu, in a well-paced private loop. Our Grand Northern tour adds Swat, Chitral and the Kalash valleys for those with more time.
Do we really reach the China border?
Yes, the Khunjerab Pass day trip from Hunza takes you right to the Pakistan–China border, the highest paved international crossing in the world.
What if the Skardu flight is cancelled?
We build in a road contingency via Gilgit, since Skardu flights are weather-dependent, you won’t be stranded.
Can this be shortened or extended?
Yes, this itinerary is fully tailor-made; we can trim the Skardu leg for a shorter trip or add Swat/Chitral for a longer one.
Is this tour private?
Yes, every tour is fully private: your own party, your own licensed guide and your own air-conditioned vehicle. Nothing is shared with strangers, and the pace flexes around you.
Do you provide hotel or airport pickup?
Yes. We collect you from your Lahore hotel or from Allama Iqbal International Airport at no extra cost within the city, and drop you back afterwards. We track your flight, so delays are no problem.
Can this tour be customized?
Absolutely. Tell us your interests, pace and any must-sees or must-avoids, and we tailor the trip around you.
What languages do your guides speak?
English-speaking licensed guides are our standard. Italian, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Russian and Arabic-speaking guides can be arranged on request, subject to availability.
How and when do I pay?
No payment is taken online. We confirm availability and a firm total price first; a deposit secures your dates, with the balance due before or at the start of the tour. Bank transfer, Wise, card and PayPal are accepted.
What is your cancellation policy?
Fair and flexible, exact terms are confirmed in writing when you book. See our cancellation & refund policy for details.
Is Pakistan safe for tourists?
The main visitor areas are busy, welcoming and well-policed, and all our tours run with licensed guides and private drivers. See our honest safety overview and check your government’s current advisory.
