Chitral is a remote frontier region beneath Tirich Mir (7,708 m), the highest peak of the Hindu Kush, a land of forts, polo, and the unique Kalash people. It’s one of Pakistan’s most atmospheric and least-visited corners.
From Lahore we head north through Swat to Chitral, visit the Kalash valleys, and (on longer itineraries) cross the legendary Shandur Pass, home to the world’s highest polo ground and the summer Shandur Polo Festival.
