About Naulakha Pavilion

The Naulakha Pavilion is a small but exquisite marble structure in Lahore Fort’s Shah Burj, distinguished by its curved ‘Bengal’ roof and lavish pietra dura inlay set with semi-precious stones. Its name derives from a construction cost said to be nine lakh rupees.

Overlooking the city, it stands beside the Sheesh Mahal as one of the Fort’s finest works of Mughal craftsmanship.
