About Lahore High Court

The Lahore High Court, completed in 1889, is one of the grandest colonial buildings in Pakistan — a soaring Indo-Gothic and Mughal-revival composition of red brick, arches and towers on the Mall. It remains a fully functioning superior court.

Its architecture makes it a highlight of any colonial-Lahore tour, best appreciated from the outside as a working institution.

Highlights

  • Indo-Gothic design — Red-brick grandeur blending Gothic and Mughal motifs.
  • Working court — Still Punjab’s principal high court.
  • Mall Road landmark — Among the finest colonial facades in the city.
  • Scale — An imposing civic monument.
