About The Royal Trail (Shahi Guzargah)
The Royal Trail, or Shahi Guzargah, is the historic processional route along which Mughal emperors once travelled from Delhi Gate to Lahore Fort. Its conservation has turned it into the Walled City’s signature walking experience.
Following it on foot links the old city’s greatest hits — the Shahi Hammam, Wazir Khan Mosque, craft bazaars and havelis — in the way they were meant to be seen: slowly, at street level, amid everyday life.
Highlights
- Delhi Gate to Fort — The full processional route through the heart of old Lahore.
- Monuments en route — Shahi Hammam, Wazir Khan Mosque and historic havelis.
- Bazaars — Coppersmiths, shoemakers, spice and food stalls.
- Living heritage — A working neighborhood, not a museum.
