About Roshnai Gate
The Roshnai Gate, the ‘Gate of Light’, is one of the original thirteen gates of the Walled City and among the few surviving in largely original form. It stands between Lahore Fort, Badshahi Mosque and the Hazuri Bagh.
Historically kept lit at night for the safety of nobles passing between Fort and mosque, it’s a evocative link in the ceremonial heart of old Lahore.
