About Minar-e-Pakistan
Minar-e-Pakistan is a 70-metre tower in Greater Iqbal Park, built on the site where the Lahore (Pakistan) Resolution was passed in 1940 — the demand that led to the creation of Pakistan in 1947. Its blend of Mughal, Islamic and modern design makes it a national landmark.
Set in a large public park near the Walled City, it’s a symbol of Pakistan’s founding and a popular gathering place, especially in the evenings.
