Lahore is one of South Asia’s great Sufi cities, and its shrines are not museums but living centres of devotion. This tour visits landmarks like Data Darbar — the shrine of Ali Hujwiri, the city’s patron saint — and the shrine of the poet-saint Madho Lal Hussain, with the possibility, on Thursday nights, of witnessing qawwali music and the trance-like dhamaal drumming at Shah Jamal.
