Best Time to Visit Lahore

The best time to visit Lahore is October to March — dry, sunny and comfortable for walking the old city. Here’s the season-by-season picture.

October–March (best)

Peak season for good reason: pleasant days around 15–25°C, cool evenings, blue skies and ideal conditions for monuments and food streets. December–January can bring morning fog (occasionally delaying flights) and chilly nights, so pack a layer. Spring (Feb–March) is lovely, with flowers and the traditional (though restricted) kite-flying spirit of Basant.

April–June (hot)

Temperatures climb fast, regularly exceeding 40°C by May–June. Visits are still possible — we run early-morning and evening itineraries with plenty of shade, water and indoor stops (the Lahore Museum is a cool refuge) — but the heat is intense.

July–September (monsoon)

Humid, with dramatic skies and short, heavy downpours. Greenery peaks and light can be beautiful, but expect mugginess and the occasional disrupted plan. Flexible scheduling helps.

Festivals & timing

Ramadan shifts the daily rhythm (quiet days, spectacular post-sunset food); Eid is festive but very busy. We can plan around all of these — just tell us your dates.

See our month-by-month weather guide for the detail, and ask us what your specific travel window will be like.
