Wagah border near Lahore on the Pakistan and India route

🚫 Currently unavailable

The Attari–Wagah border has been closed to regular civilian and tourist crossing since May 2025, following a sharp deterioration in India–Pakistan relations, and no reopening date has been announced as of our last review. Only the evening flag-lowering ceremony (viewed from the Pakistani side, with no crossing involved) is currently running, see our Wagah Border Tour for that. We are keeping this page live, ready to activate, so that when the crossing reopens we can help you the same day. Message us and we will notify you the moment it does.

What this service will cover, once available

The Wagah–Attari crossing near Lahore is the only official overland border point between Pakistan and India, and, when open, is a straightforward, well-trodden route for travelers continuing from Lahore to Amritsar (and onward across India) without flying. Our service is built for exactly that overland leg.

We handle the private transfer from your Lahore hotel to the border, help you through the Pakistani exit formalities, assist with luggage at the crossing point, and, where needed, coordinate a private transfer pickup waiting for you on the Indian side in Attari/Amritsar. You still need your own valid visas and travel documents for both countries; we don’t arrange visas, but we can point you to the current official guidance for each.

Good to know

  • This is a currently unavailable service. We keep this page live so we can activate it immediately once the border reopens for civilian/tourist crossing.
  • Even when open, this crossing is typically foot traffic only through the checkpoint itself, vehicles do not cross the line, so a fresh vehicle is needed on the Indian side.
  • Requirements have differed for Indian and Pakistani nationals versus other nationalities at various times, always confirm your specific case before relying on any general guidance, including ours.
  • For the separate, currently-running evening ceremony (no crossing involved), see our Wagah Border Tour.
